Today is November 5th 2007. An above average fall day in the Okanagan, grey sky mild breeze and still no snow. Having no snow yet is a plus as we are busy trying to get the roof on the new shop, hopefully we will be done in a couple of weeks. Approximately six more weeks and then the slow-down in Riversong for the winter. This will be time for recollection and renewal, and allow some time for a refocus and planning for 2008. We hope to get plans together for the Agritourism and lifestyle center we would like to build in the community. As time permits we will post the results of our progress here.
This past year was really exciting! Last year as Sandra' father was in Alberta for valve replacement surgery, I had many trips to Edmonton and region showcasing our products in the local farmers markets there, while visiting Jack and my family. I might add the upscale markets were really interested in our products and services and the trips although exhausting physically, did expand our marketshare. These trips proved hard on Sandra as she was forced to do most of the garden work alone which is very labor intensive. The garden was twice the density this year. At the local markets we offered free recipes which introduced the culinary component of our product line more successfully. Our sales in the culinary selections were up dramatically this year.
Numerous testimonials again this year on the skin care products, the most interesting coming from the beesong propolis ticture. This product has been successful in removal of some warts and moles, and this of course appeals to many people. We have had feedback on our Ginseng Enhanced Handharmony indicating this product will soon be our biggest seller. At a Pow Wow last summer we had a healer point out to us that this cream seemed cool in the energy it offered. This cooling effect was not due to missing something, and in fact it has proved excellent in the treatment of excema. The local Nutter's store indicated they were selling more of our handharmony cream than any other skin cream in the store and this is exciting. Due to this success we were invited to the Nutter's Trade Fair in Medicine Hat this fall. At this function we met some interesting people and expanded our distribution.
On a marketing note; Another interesting thing we noticed this year is the number of people using Facebook! This appears to be very popular and therefore we hope to utilize this in our marketing efforts for Riversong Agriharmonics Ltd. Our hope is to expand Riversong into something special this year using the foundation we have been building for the last three years. Our clients, family and freinds are very important to us and we hope to match; "what we have to offer" with "what people need from us".
We would like to encourage all your feedback on our products and services in this blog in our quest in providing transparency in building value in our products and quality in our lives.
Bye for now.
